Digital Printing Operator

About the role

Surry Hills Print & Design is on the lookout for a hands-on, switched-on Digital Print Specialist to join our busy (and genuinely friendly) production team.

This is a full-time role based in Surry Hills, NSW 2010, where no two days are quite the same. One moment you’ll be running large format prints, the next you’ll be fine-tuning files, solving a colour challenge, or helping bring a client’s idea from screen to something they can actually hold in their hands.

If you like variety, take pride in doing things properly, and enjoy seeing the final product roll off the printer looking spot on—you’ll fit right in.

---

What you’ll be doing

• Running and maintaining a range of digital print equipment (large format printers, copiers, and wide-format plotters)
• Preparing print-ready files and managing colour accuracy to ensure high-quality output every time
• Supporting jobs from start to finish—from pre-press setup through to finishing and delivery prep
• Keeping an eye on stock, consumables, and helping keep workflows running smoothly
• Working closely with the team to get jobs out on time and to a high standard
• Jumping in with ideas on how we can work smarter, faster, and better

---

What we’re looking for

• Solid experience in a digital print production environment (2+ years minimum)
• Confident hands-on ability with digital print equipment
• Strong skills in file preparation, colour management, and quality control
• A sharp eye for detail—spotting issues before they become problems
• Calm, capable, and reliable when things get busy
• Good time management and a team-first attitude
• Australian working rights (essential)
