Digital Product Owner

As the Technical Product Owner, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and driving the digital transformation of our end-to-end claims ecosystem. In this role, you will own the technical product roadmap, convert complex operational requirements into clear, actionable user stories, and partner closely with cross-functional engineering teams, solution architects, and external technology vendors. You will ensure our platform ecosystem remains robust, scalable, compliant, and positioned to deliver high-performance digital experiences.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap for core claims engines and claims workflow automation. Create, refine, and prioritize technical user stories, acceptance criteria, and system backlogs in an Agile development environment.
• Rank tasks, bug fixes, and feature requests based on business value, user needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive system enhancements for automated adjudication, reserve management, document/OCR processing, and fraud detection integrations.
• Partner closely with Solution Architects, Software Engineers, and Data Engineering teams to evaluate API integration frameworks, microservices architecture, and cloud migrations.
• Collaborate with offshore development teams, system integrators, Third-Party Administrators, and core insurance vendor software platforms.
• Translate complex business requirements from Claims Operations, Legal, and Underwriting into actionable technical requirements while keeping leadership aligned on delivery milestones.
• Oversee end-to-end UAT execution, operational readiness checks, automated testing frameworks, and post-implementation reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related technology discipline.
• 5+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner, Business Analyst, or Solution Architect within complex software or enterprise architecture environments.
• Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or Agile practitioner experience preferred.
• Experience in Insurance Claims (Life, Health, or General Insurance) is a strong advantage.
• Proven track record in Agile/Scrum delivery teams using frameworks, practices, and tooling like Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Skilled in managing backlogs, prioritizing competing requirements, and translating complex business needs into actionable user stories.
• Demonstrated success delivering digital products, customer journeys, enterprise platforms, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
• Hands-on experience with design thinking, customer journey mapping, and applying data-driven decision-making.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, communication, and workshop facilitation capabilities.
• Strong analytical abilities to evaluate operational challenges and define effective solutions.
• Fluency in Cantonese and English is required (Mandarin is an advantage).
