Serving as a technical liaison among Digital Banking, Information Technology, Information Security, Operations, business stakeholders, and vendors, this role translates member and business needs into secure, stable, and effective technical solutions. The specialist monitors solution performance, resolves complex issues, supports controlled releases, and maintains the technical documentation needed to deliver a consistent digital member experience.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Maintains an understanding of the architecture, data flows, interfaces, dependencies, and security requirements supporting member-facing digital solutions. Coordinates vendor integrations, APIs, secure file transmissions, certificates, and network connectivity in partnership with Information Technology, Information Security, business areas, and vendors. Supports or leads technical implementations, enhancements, conversions, and integration changes from discovery through deployment and post-launch stabilization.
  • Translates business and member-experience needs into technical requirements, platform configurations, test scenarios, implementation tasks, and support procedures. Configures authorized platform settings, features, entitlements, navigation, workflows, limits, notifications, mappings, and integration parameters in accordance with change-control requirements. Investigates complex or recurring issues through system analysis, log and configuration review, dependency tracing, escalation coordination, and service validation. Coordinates vendor release assessments, regression testing, defect tracking, deployment readiness, communications, and post-release validation. Monitors platform performance, interfaces, scheduled jobs, alerts, vendor service levels, and member-impact trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Maintains architecture diagrams, integration inventories, configuration records, technical documentation, and support procedures. Evaluates proposed changes from the member’s perspective, considering accessibility, usability, reliability, privacy, security, and consistency across digital channels. Supports employee training, business continuity testing, outage response communications, and cross-functional initiatives involving assigned digital solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 3 or more years of experience supporting digital banking, financial technology, application integrations, business systems, or related technology solutions is required.
  • 3 years or more years of financial institution experience is required.
  • Experience with online and mobile banking, digital account opening, digital wallets, payment or card platforms, identity and access management, remote deposit capture, or other member-facing financial technologies is preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelors Degree in information systems, computer science, business technology, finance, or a related field, OR an equivalent combination of education, training, work-related experience, or military experience is required.

Other Skills Required:

  • Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills with members, management, and employees.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment in recognizing when to escalate complex or high-risk situations.
  • Proficiency in digital banking systems, fraud monitoring tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Strong computer skills with the ability to utilize various applications via desktop, tablet and mobile required.
