DIMSUM STAFF

About the role

We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Dimsum Staff to join our kitchen team at MKS Workforce Management Services Inc. in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. This is a full-time position that plays a vital role in delivering authentic dimsum cuisine and exceptional dining experiences to our valued customers. As a Dimsum Staff member, you will be at the heart of our culinary operations, contributing to the preparation, cooking, and presentation of our signature dimsum offerings. This role is essential to maintaining our high standards of food quality and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dimsum items including dumplings, buns, rolls, and other traditional dimsum dishes according to established recipes and quality standards
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as steamers, fryers, and cooking utensils in a safe and hygienic manner
• Maintain strict food safety and hygiene protocols, including proper storage, handling, and preparation of ingredients
• Work efficiently during service periods to ensure timely preparation and delivery of dimsum orders
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure smooth service flow
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering
• Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workspace, including regular cleaning and sanitisation of work areas and equipment
• Follow all company policies and procedures, including health and safety regulations
• Contribute to continuous improvement of food preparation processes and menu offerings

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a kitchen environment, preferably with exposure to Asian cuisine or dimsum preparation
• Knowledge of traditional dimsum preparation techniques and ingredients
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards, with relevant certification preferred
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service periods
• Physical stamina and ability to stand for extended periods whilst performing manual kitchen duties
• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail for precision food preparation
• Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with kitchen colleagues
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and recipes
• Punctuality and reliability with a strong work ethic
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required
