Job Overview

We are seeking a Experienced and skilled Diner Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced diner environment while maintaining strict food safety standards. This role requires a focus on cost control, inventory management, and ensuring efficient food preparation to deliver excellent dining experiences for our customers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items according to established recipes and quality standards
• Manage food preparation processes efficiently to meet service deadlines
• Implement and adhere to food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a safe dining environment
• Control food costs by managing portion sizes and minimizing waste
• Oversee inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent customer service

Experience

• Proven experience as a chef or cook in a diner or similar fast-paced food service environment
• Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitizing procedures
• Strong understanding of inventory management and cost control practices
• Ability to prepare a variety of dishes efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
