Dining Room Attendant

Job Summary

Dogwood Southern Table & Bar is seeking a friendly, dependable, and detail-oriented Dining Room Attendant to help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This role supports daily restaurant operations by assisting guests, preparing dining areas, clearing and resetting tables, and working closely with the restaurant team to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, professional assistance.
• Prepare dining areas and tables before service.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly and efficiently.
• Maintain clean, organized, and presentable dining areas throughout each shift.
• Assist servers and other restaurant team members with guest service.
• Deliver food, beverages, utensils, and other items to guests as needed.
• Restock dining room supplies, utensils, napkins, and service materials.
• Respond to guest requests and questions in a courteous manner.
• Communicate guest needs and concerns to servers or supervisors.
• Assist with maintaining clean service stations and common areas.
• Follow restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, and safety procedures.
• Help keep dining areas prepared during busy service periods.
• Support smooth communication between the dining room, kitchen, and service team.
• Handle restaurant equipment and supplies carefully.
• Work efficiently while maintaining attention to cleanliness and detail.
• Follow restaurant policies and established service standards.
• Perform other dining room and restaurant support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant, hospitality, food service, or customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Friendly, professional, and guest-focused attitude.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and willingness to assist coworkers.
• Good attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and performing hands-on service tasks.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible work habits.
• Willingness to learn restaurant service, sanitation, and safety procedures.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 44.0 per week
