Dining Room Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Dining Room Manager to lead our restaurant’s front-of-house operations with enthusiasm and professionalism. Duties

• Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring efficient service and high-quality food presentation.
• Lead, train, and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer service and uphold company standards.
• Manage shift schedules, coordinate team assignments, and oversee staff performance to optimize productivity.
• Oversee food preparation and food handling procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Control inventory levels, monitor food supplies, and coordinate with kitchen staff for timely food production and waste reduction.
• Conduct staff interviews, onboarding, ongoing training sessions, and performance evaluations to foster a skilled team environment.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve complaints promptly, and ensure a positive dining experience for all guests.
• Analyze profit and loss statements to identify opportunities for revenue growth and cost savings.
• Maintain strict adherence to food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and health regulations across all operations.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service management within casual dining or fine dining environments.
• Strong background in restaurant management with supervisory experience in fast-paced settings such as quick service or hospitality industries.
• Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; proficient in cash handling and basic math skills.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen management, and culinary standards.
• Experience supervising teams, conducting interviews, training staff, and managing shift operations effectively.
• Excellent managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams confidently while maintaining a focus on customer service excellence.
• Understanding of food safety management practices and food industry regulations.
• Ability to analyze financial data related to budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and inventory control.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing hospitality teams with a focus on training & development initiatives.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 36.0 per week
