Dining Server

Job Summary

The Server is responsible for providing friendly, efficient, and professional service to customers. The position assists with taking orders, serving food and beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that customers have a pleasant dining experience.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Customer Service
• Welcome and assist customers in a courteous and professional manner.
• Take customer orders accurately and provide information about menu items.
• Attend to customer requests, concerns, and inquiries promptly.
• Maintain a positive and service-oriented attitude at all times.
• Order Taking and Serving
• Accurately take and process customer orders.
• Serve coffee, beverages, food, and other menu items according to company standards.
• Ensure orders are complete, properly presented, and served to the correct table or customer.
• Coordinate with baristas and kitchen staff regarding customer orders.
• Cashiering and POS
• Operate the POS/cashiering system when assigned.
• Process cash and other approved payment methods accurately.
• Issue receipts and properly handle customer transactions.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling and end-of-shift turnover.
• Dining Area and Cleanliness
• Keep tables, chairs, counters, and service areas clean and organized.
• Clear and clean tables promptly after customers leave.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper sanitation of service equipment and areas.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Product Knowledge
• Maintain adequate knowledge of the café's menu, ingredients, prices, and available promotions.
• Provide appropriate recommendations to customers when requested.
• Inform the supervisor of unavailable or low-stock items.
• Inventory and Operations Support
• Assist in checking and replenishing service supplies such as cups, utensils, napkins, and condiments.
• Report damaged equipment, shortages, spills, or other operational concerns to the supervisor.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
• Teamwork and Compliance
• Work cooperatively with baristas, kitchen staff, supervisors, and other team members.
• Follow company policies, work schedules, grooming standards, and service procedures.
• Perform other reasonable duties related to café operations as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• At least Senior High School graduate; vocational or college education is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a coffee shop, café, restaurant, or customer-service environment is preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-service oriented and approachable.
• Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Willing to work on weekends, holidays, and shifting schedules.
• Able to stand and move for extended periods during work.
• Honest, reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.

Location: Cebu Doctors University Hospital - Osmeña Blvd. Cebu City

Pay: Php12,885.09 - Php19,244.74 per month
