Are you passionate about cooking and take pride in creating delicious, high-quality meals? Allegria Village Senior Living is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Full-Time Cook to join our Independent Living dining services team in Dearborn, Michigan.

At Allegria Village, dining is an important part of the resident experience. We are looking for someone who enjoys preparing great food, maintaining high culinary standards, and helping create a welcoming dining atmosphere for our residents.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes, menus, and quality standards.
• Ensure food is flavorful, fresh, properly portioned, and attractively presented.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen and work area.
• Assist with food preparation, meal service, and kitchen setup as needed.
• Monitor food quality and help minimize waste through proper storage and preparation.
• Work collaboratively with the culinary and dining services team to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Accommodate resident dietary needs and special meal requests according to established guidelines.
• Contribute to a positive dining experience by taking pride in the food and service provided to residents.

What We're Looking For

• Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, senior living community, healthcare setting, or other commercial kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety practices.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and organizational skills.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
• A genuine commitment to quality, cleanliness, and resident satisfaction.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies as required.
