Dir, Engineering Program/Project Mgmt

For our client, we are seeking a Dir, Engineering Program/Project Mgmt to join the team of a leader in the Healthcare space.

This leader will guide engineering program and project execution for a portfolio of software products and platforms in a regulated healthcare environment. The role will shape long-term investment priorities, coordinate cross-functional teams, and help ensure delivery of scalable, secure, and commercially viable solutions. It will also partner closely with Product Management and Commercial teams to translate market needs into clear execution plans and measurable business outcomes.

Location: San Diego, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $202,700 – $324,200 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the product portfolio strategy and roadmap for a healthcare software platform.
• Define and align long-term platform investments across legacy and next-generation cloud solutions.
• Balance customer commitments, technical debt reduction, cybersecurity, scalability, and innovation priorities.
• Partner with Product Management and Commercial teams to translate market needs into executable product strategies.
• Lead the development and commercialization of the next-generation cloud-based platform.
• Drive adoption of modern software development practices including Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD.
• Own overall program success, including scope, budget, schedule, quality, risk, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years of experience leading complex software products or platforms.
• Experience with cloud-native software products (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Demonstrated leadership of large cross-functional product development teams.
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, software lifecycle management, and regulated product development.
• Strong business acumen with experience managing roadmaps, budgets, and portfolio investments.
• Medical device, healthcare software, healthcare IT, or regulated industry experience preferred.
