DIRECT BILL REPRESENTATIVE
(Full Time, Hourly, Non-Exempt)

Position Summary:

We are looking for a full-time Direct Bill Representative to apply payments to individual and employer group insurance policies and perform insurance policy account reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide billing information, account reconciliation and billing problem resolution to internal and external customers involving multiple lines of insurance.
• Utilizes working knowledge of multiple billing and/or policy applications and processing procedures to effectively service customer inquiries of a moderately complex nature.
• Prepares and maintains accurate and complete documentation to support accounts receivable and/or other general ledger accounts. May identify billing and systems problems and recommend necessary actions.
• May follow-up on moderately complex delinquent accounts
• Assist customers with premium history inquiries.
• Assist with tax and reporting requirements
• May serve as backup for other department functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree or equivalent.
• 2 or more years of related experience. Previous experience in accounting customer service and/or a high call volume environment preferred.
• Long Term Care, Life & Annuity Insurance industry background is preferred.
• Ability to meet deadlines and to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Great Customer Service Skills
