Direct Care Staff

Overview

Caring Solutions LLC is seeking dependable, compassionate, and patient Direct Care Staff to provide support to individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities. Our goal is to help each individual live as independently as possible while maintaining their safety, dignity, choice, and quality of life.

Direct Care Staff work directly with individuals in their homes and within the community. Support needs vary by individual and may include assistance with daily living skills, personal care, appointments, transportation, household responsibilities, and community activities.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Assist individuals with daily living skills and routines
• Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, hygiene, bathing, grooming, and dressing as needed
• Assist with cooking, meal preparation, cleaning, laundry, and maintaining the home
• Support individuals with grocery shopping, errands, budgeting, and other community-based activities
• Transport individuals to medical, dental, mental health, and other appointments
• Support individuals with medication routines according to their individual plan and company procedures
• Encourage independence by assisting individuals in completing tasks rather than automatically completing tasks for them
• Support individuals with communication, social skills, decision-making, and community involvement
• Provide appropriate support during periods of frustration, behavioral challenges, or emotional distress
• Follow each individual’s personalized service plan and identified goals
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect each individual’s privacy, dignity, and rights
• Complete accurate service notes and required documentation after each service
• Document appointments, incidents, and other required information
• Communicate important changes, concerns, or incidents to the Program Manager
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for the individual
• Provide reliable and consistent support during scheduled shifts

What We’re Looking For:

We are looking for someone who is reliable, patient, compassionate, responsible, and comfortable working independently. Applicants should be comfortable providing hands-on assistance when needed, including personal care and toileting.

Experience working in Supported Living Services, caregiving, direct care, behavioral health, special education, healthcare, or with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred, but we are also willing to consider candidates who are dependable and willing to learn.

Applicants should have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and current automobile insurance, as transportation of individuals may be required. Availability may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, depending on the individual’s schedule.
