Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
• Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, using specialized techniques to promote comfort and safety
• Administer medications following prescribed protocols and document all medication-related activities accurately
• Engage residents in meaningful activities, socialization, and group programs to enhance their well-being and mental health
• Practice safe patient lifting techniques and manual handling to prevent injury for both residents and staff
• Maintain cleanliness of resident living areas and common spaces to uphold hygiene standards

Requirements

• Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or residential care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, and memory care practices is essential
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car for transportation needs when necessary
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, assist with transfers, and engage in manual handling tasks safely
