Duties

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to support health assessments
• Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer’s disease and dementia, through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies
• Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining accurate documentation
• Operate manual handling techniques safely during resident transfers and lifting to prevent injury
• Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and assist residents with meal consumption as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning common areas and resident rooms
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive care delivery
• Follow resident’s rights policies diligently to uphold dignity, privacy, and autonomy at all times
• Support group activities or recreational programs that promote social interaction and mental stimulation

Qualifications

• Prior experience in assisted living or nursing home environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, memory care, and geriatrics is preferred
• Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and First Aid is required or obtainable upon hire
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or cognitive impairments is advantageous
• Ability to operate a standard passenger car safely for community outings or appointments
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
• Physical capability for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks necessary for resident support
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and client communication practices
• Experience working in residential or home & community care settings is a plus

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
