DIRECT CARE SUPPORT

Overview

NOW HIRING – PERSONAL SUPPORT & COMPANION CARE

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and dependable person to provide Personal Support and Companion Services to high-functioning individuals with disabilities.

Schedule: Flexible hours and days. Work is available throughout the week, with approximately two days off depending on the client’s needs and schedule.

Job Duties Include:

• Providing companionship and personal support
• Assisting clients with daily activities
• Running errands with clients
• Light housekeeping
• Meal preparation/cooking
• Taking clients on community outings and activities
• Assisting with medical appointments
• Encouraging independence and community participation
• Providing respectful and compassionate support

Requirements:

• Must speak English
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Must be caring, patient, responsible, and dependable
• Must be comfortable working with individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities
• Must have or be able to obtain all APD-required training, background screening, and mandatory documentation (we can help in this area)
• Flexible availability is preferred

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism or intellectual disabilities support is preferred
• Certification in CPR and first aid is required; additional training in hospice care or geriatrics is advantageous

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
