Direct Care Worker 2nd shift : Full time and Part time

Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Full-Time Direct Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals with disabilities and autism in a residential setting. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for our clients by delivering personalized care and assistance. This role requires a strong understanding of direct support techniques, behavior management, and patient care practices. Hour for this position are 4 p.m.-12 a.m. and 12p.m.-12 a.m. every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities and autism in daily living activities.
• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Implement care plans tailored to each individual's needs, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
• Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients for any side effects or changes in condition.
• Employ behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and any incidents in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Lift and assist clients as needed, ensuring their safety and comfort during transfers.
• Foster a supportive environment that encourages independence while providing necessary assistance.

Experience

• Previous experience in direct support or assisted living environments is preferred.
• Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and patient care practices is essential.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding patient confidentiality and care documentation is required.
• Ability to lift clients safely and provide physical assistance as needed.
• A compassionate demeanor, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team are crucial for success in this role.

Pay: $17.13 - $19.00 per hour
