Direct Care Worker

This opportunity is specifically for individuals who are currently caring for a family member, friend, or loved one who has active Medicaid and needs assistance at home.

If you are already helping someone with their day-to-day care and would like to explore becoming their paid Personal Care Assistant (PCA) through Intentional Care LLC, we encourage you to apply.

What You’ll Do

As a Personal Care Assistant, you may assist your loved one with:

• Bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Personal hygiene
• Toileting and incontinence care
• Mobility and transfers
• Meal preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping related to their care
• Assistance with daily activities
• Companionship and support
• Following their authorized care plan

Who We’re Looking For

Applicants should:

• Currently be caring for or assisting someone they know
• Be interested in becoming their paid caregiver
• Be dependable, compassionate, and responsible
• Be able to provide assistance based on the individual’s needs
• Be willing to complete required employment and onboarding requirements
• Have reliable communication and transportation when applicable

Medicaid Requirement

The person you are caring for must have active Medicaid and meet the applicable requirements for home-based services. Approved hours and services are determined based on the individual’s needs and authorization.

Please note: This is not a traditional job opening where Intentional Care assigns you a client. This opportunity is for individuals who are already caring for someone they know and are interested in becoming their paid caregiver through our agency.

Pay

$18–$22 per hour, depending on the assignment and applicable program requirements.
