Direct Care Worker

Overview
The Direct Care Worker (DCW) provides high-quality, non-medical support to individuals in their homes while promoting safety, independence, dignity, and overall well-being. Responsibilities include assisting with personal care, activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, and other services in accordance with the individual’s approved care plan.

Duties

• Assist with personal care and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
• Support mobility and safely use assistive devices, including Hoyer lifts.
• Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and light housekeeping.
• Follow the client’s individualized care plan and safety requirements.
• Accurately document services and report any changes or concerns.
• Provide respectful, compassionate care while promoting independence and dignity

Skills

• Experience providing compassionate personal care and support.
• Knowledge of working with individuals with disabilities and special care needs.
• Ability to safely assist with mobility and use equipment such as Hoyer lifts.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Understanding of HIPAA, client safety, and confidentiality requirements.
• Dependable, patient, respectful, and able to follow individualized care plans.

Pay: $13.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
