Direct Materials Buyer (Semiconductor Equipment, 12-Month Contract)

The Opportunity:

Adecco is partnering with a global technology and advanced manufacturing company seeking a Buyer to join its Supply Chain team on a 12-month contract.

This opportunity is suitable for candidates looking to build hands-on experience in direct material procurement within semiconductor equipment manufacturing, with exposure to suppliers, engineering, quality and production operations.

• Location: North-East
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.30pm
• Salary: Up to $4,300 + Completion Bonus

The Job:

• Manage purchasing of direct materials and mechanical components such as sheet metal, machined and fabricated parts.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time to support production requirements.
• Manage purchase orders, material follow-ups and supplier delivery performance.
• Work closely with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve technical and material issues.
• Support engineering changes, rework, material changes and other procurement activities.

The Talent:

• Diploma with relevant purchasing experience, or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or related disciplines.
• Candidates with up to 2-3 years of relevant procurement or supply chain experience are welcome to apply.
• Exposure to manufacturing, semiconductor, electronics or direct materials is advantageous.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills with a willingness to learn.
