Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe for changes in condition
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident’s to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges
• Document client progress, care activities, and incidents accurately in compliance with agency policies

Requirements

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer’s and memory care), and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or medication administration are a plus
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Demonstrated patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to support vulnerable populations
• Experience with care plans, patient monitoring, hospice or home health care is advantageous

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour

Experience:

• Caregiving: 3 years (Preferred)
• DSP: 2 years (Preferred)
