Direct Service Provider (DSP)

Job Summary:

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Service Providers. As a Direct Service Provider, you will play a crucial role in providing care and support to individuals with various needs, including working with people with developmental disabilities of all ages and assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs). Duties: - Assist individuals with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation - Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities - Implement behavior support plans and assist with behavior management - Administer medications according to prescribed guidelines - Maintain accurate documentation of services provided - Ensure a clean and safe environment for individuals in your care - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the well-being of individuals Experience: - Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred - Knowledge of ADLs and experience providing personal care assistance - Familiarity with systems and techniques for working with people with developmental disabilities - Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality Skills: - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals with diverse needs. Must have one year verifiable experience working in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or childcare setting, or experience working with recipients with developmental disabilities, or have 30 semester hours, 45 quarter-hours, or 720 classroom hours of college or vocational school.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
