Direct Service Worker

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Worker to provide essential support to elderly and disabled clients. In this role, you will assist clients with daily living activities, foster meaningful communication, and ensure their comfort and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with disabilities and possess strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships.

Duties

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients' quality of life.
• Support clients in light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Accompany clients to errands, medical appointments, and other outings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
• Monitor clients’ health status and report any concerns to appropriate healthcare providers or supervisors.
• Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and client progress.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in similar caregiving roles.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and coordination with healthcare teams.
• Compassionate nature with a patient and respectful approach to caregiving.
• Ability to perform physical tasks related to assisting clients with ADLs.
• Reliable, responsible, and attentive to detail in providing consistent care.
• Ability to adapt to changing needs of clients and work independently or as part of a team.

Pay: $10.50 - $11.00 per hour
