Direct Service Worker (evenings)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or behavioral health conditions, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times
• Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication administration, and mobility needs
• Implement behavior management strategies and applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors and reduce challenging behaviors
• Respond effectively to crisis situations using crisis intervention and crisis management skills to de-escalate conflicts and ensure client safety
• Collect data on client progress, behaviors, and treatment responses for ongoing evaluation and reporting purposes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, and family members to develop individualized care plans

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
• Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques and behavior management strategies
• Ability to handle sensitive situations involving PTSD care or addiction counseling with professionalism and compassion
• Strong communication skills for effective social work interactions and data collection
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA standards and handle medical records responsibly
