Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, dressing, and hygiene.
• Support clients with medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and adherence to care plans.
• Provide patient observation and monitor behavioral or health changes, especially for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's, or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Facilitate community outings, transportation, and recreational activities to promote social engagement.
• Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, patient progress, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding to support nutritional needs.
• Use proper manual handling techniques and patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safety during mobility assistance.

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments.
• Knowledge of dementia care, memory care, Alzheimer's care, and hospice care practices.
• Proficiency in patient monitoring, vital signs collection, medication administration, and first aid/CPR certification.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties and maintain a safe environment for clients.
• Experience working with individuals with autism or other neurodevelopmental disabilities.
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines to ensure confidentiality of client information.
