Join our team as a caring DSP (Individual Support) supporting individuals in their homes and community.

We are looking for a DSP who can mentor and provide job coaching skill. Must be comfortable using personal car for transportation. Mileage reimbursement included

Pay Schedule: Weekly (Paycheck every Friday)

Schedule:

• Mon-Fri 9a-3p (Meriden)

Note: This position involves working 1:1 in the community. Staff must be comfortable with transporting in personal car. Mileage is reimbursed for approved work-related transport.

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide care and support to individuals for individualized day program support.

Responsibilities

• Promote independence while encouraging self-confidence and personal growth.
• Support and transport individuals in participating in social and recreational activities
• Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals
• Help individuals with disabilities navigate their home and community environments
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, family members, and other support staff to ensure the well-being of individuals

Skills

• Experience working with people with disabilities, autism, or senior care
• Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary
• Knowledge of social work principles and practices
• Familiarity with assisting individuals in assisted living, group home, and or 1 on 1 residential settings
• Proficiency in monitoring vital signs and responding to medical emergencies

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle
• Must have a valid/current driver's license, car registration and car insurance
• Successful clearance of background checks
• Basic computer skills
