Direct Support Professional and driver

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professional and Driverto join our dedicated team. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, transporting clients safely to work and activities, and fostering a supportive environment that promotes dignity and well-being. Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to FEMALE clients by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
• Safely operate company vehicles to transport clients to their work or dayhab , community outings, or recreational activities while adhering to all safety protocols
• Monitor client health and well-being through patient observation, and reporting any changes or concerns promptly
• Support clients with medication administration and adherence to care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and company policies
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring proper infection control practices are followed
• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and nutritional needs tailored to individual dietary requirements including diabetic, low sodium and low protein specific diets.
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and organizational procedures.
• Engage clients in social activities, promote community participation, and foster positive interactions that enhance quality of life.
• Observe clients for signs of distress or behavioral changes related to disabilities or memory care needs like autism or dementia

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
• Knowledge of patient care techniques including vital signs monitoring, CPR certification, first aid skills, we can send you for training
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Alzheimer's disease, or dementia required
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan implementation necessary- we can send you for training
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with team members, clients, families, and healthcare professionals
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating passenger vehicles safely required
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
