Direct Support Professional

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities and other special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve, ensuring their dignity, independence, and well-being. This role requires a patient and empathetic approach and the ability to work collaboratively with families and other caregivers.

Duties

• Provide personal care assistance to support individuals in daily living activities, promoting independence and self-sufficiency.
• Picking individuals up from their homes or assisted living facilities, bringing them out to engage in activities or outings, and returning them home.
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
• Document client progress and report any changes in behavior or health status to appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with supervisors, family members, and other support staff to coordinate care.

Experience and Requirements

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued.
• DSP 1 & 2 certification, RBT certification, and CPI training are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development in direct support practices.
• A valid driver's license and full coverage car insurance are mandatory
• Must pass a background check

Expected hours: 9.0 – 27.0 per week
