Schedule: Part-Time 25 Hours a week Female

Responsibilities

• Assist with in home Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing behaviors, and recording care plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Support during meals by preparing nutritious food and assisting with eating as needed
• Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and ensure safe manual handling techniques during patient transfers
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and proper infection control practices
• Observe for changes in condition or behavior, especially in dementia or Alzheimer's care settings, and report findings promptly
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings and support engagement in social activities

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Knowledge of patient monitoring techniques including vital signs measurement and medication administration
• Experience working with individuals with autism, developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or dementia is preferred
• Ability to perform patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts and understand care plans thoroughly
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Certification in CPR and First Aid to respond effectively during emergencies
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely
• Experience supporting behavior needs

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Developmental disabilities: 1 year (Required)
• Behavior management: 1 year (Preferred)
