Duties

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe their condition to ensure safety and well-being
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking, ensuring dietary needs are met
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to support mobility and transfers
• Maintain detailed documentation of patient care, progress notes, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA standards
• Support residents’ participation in social activities, community outings, and recreational programs to promote engagement and quality of life

Experience

• Previous experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes
• Experience with patient observation, vital signs monitoring, medication administration, and care planning
• Familiarity with working with individuals with autism or disabilities ensures tailored support strategies
• Hands-on experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer devices
• Certification in CPR and first aid is required; this is a paid training that our agency provides for you
• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent
