Direct Support Professional

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to provide essential care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Monitor residents’ health status by taking vital signs, observing patient conditions, and reporting changes promptly
• Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
• Support residents during meal preparation, feeding, and nutritional needs while maintaining cleanliness in common areas
• Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts safely to assist with mobility and prevent injury
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care and autism support
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
• Document observations, care activities, and incidents accurately in compliance with healthcare standards and privacy laws

Requirements

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings preferred
• Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring
• Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; ongoing training provided if needed
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for resident support
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and engage positively with residents
• Experience working with people with developmental disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease or autism is a plus
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times
• Compassionate attitude with patience for working with individuals facing health or cognitive challenges
• Transportation and Reliability is a must!
• 1st Shifts 8AM-3PM
• 2nd Shifts: 3PM- 10PM
• 3rd Shifts: 11PM- 8AM

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
