Direct Support Professional

Pure Serenity Homes LLC is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional to provide meaningful, person-centered support to individuals in our onsite Cleveland, OH community.

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will help individuals live as independently as possible by assisting with daily routines, community participation, and personal goals. You will build trusting relationships, provide respectful support, and maintain a safe, encouraging environment.

This part-time onsite role is ideal for someone who is patient, dependable, and committed to making a positive difference every day.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, including personal care, meal support, and routine-based assistance
• Promote independence by encouraging choice-making, skill-building, and goal-oriented support
• Support community involvement and social engagement through structured, person-centered activities
• Document care and support tasks accurately and on time according to established guidelines
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment and respond appropriately to participant needs and changing situations

Required Qualifications

• Ability to work onsite at 6659 Pearl Rd, Cleveland, OH 44130-3821 on a part-time schedule
• Demonstrated reliability and commitment to showing up consistently and on time
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build respectful, trusting relationships
• Comfort with providing hands-on support in a respectful, privacy-conscious manner
• Ability to follow established care/support plans and safety procedures

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in caregiving, support services, or a residential/community setting
• Familiarity with person-centered practices and supporting independence through routine
• Experience with documentation practices related to care or support activities
• A calm, empathetic approach when supporting individuals with varying needs
