Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and reliable personal care aide to support a client in Millvale. This will be a 5 day a week shift requirement. This role involves assisting with hygiene, med reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping, and companionship. The ideal candidate will be attentive, outgoing, and nurturing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care in a home setting
• Engage the client in activities and discussions
• Support communication and social interaction using preferred methods (e.g., visual aids, prompts)
• Assist with daily routines such as meals, hygiene reminders, and transitions
• Monitor for safety and respond calmly to needs
• Follow any care plans or behavior strategies provided by the family or professionals

Qualifications:

• Experience working with providing personal care services
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor
• Must know how to prepare meals; use kitchen appliances

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
