Direct Support Professional

We are seeking a dependable, compassionate, and responsible Residential Support Staff member to join our team at a residential substance abuse treatment facility.

The Residential Support Staff member plays an important role in maintaining a safe, structured, and supportive environment for clients while they work toward recovery.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise clients in the residential setting.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and structured environment.
• Assist with daily routines and facility activities.
• Provide encouragement and appropriate support to clients.
• Reinforce facility rules, policies, and expectations.
• Complete required documentation, logs, and shift reports accurately.
• Monitor client behavior and report concerns or changes to clinical/management staff.
• Assist with crisis situations according to facility policies and training.
• Maintain professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Conduct safety checks and follow facility procedures.
• Assist with meals, transportation, activities, and other residential duties as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with counselors, clinical staff, and management.
• Support a recovery-focused and respectful atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in substance abuse treatment, behavioral health, residential care, or a related field is preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to work scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Ability to remain calm and professional during difficult or stressful situations.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet facility employment requirements.
