Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, bathing, dressing, and mobility support
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal planning to meet individual dietary needs
• Utilize patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
• Maintain cleanliness of living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation practices
• Support residents during outings or community activities using personal transportation assistance
• Follow all safety protocols including first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response procedures

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Ability to observe patients carefully for changes in condition or behavior with patience and attentiveness
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and team members
• Familiarity with care plans, medication administration, patient monitoring, and resident’s rights principles
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or intellectual disabilities support is a plus
• Ability to perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy at all times
