Duties

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and mobility support
• Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, administering medication, and maintaining accurate care plans
• Support residents during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
• Use proper patient transfer methods such as Hoyer lifts and patient transfer techniques to ensure safety during mobility assistance
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and sanitation tasks
• Provide patient personal care assistance with compassion and respect while respecting residents’ rights and dignity
• Document observations, care activities, and incidents accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred
• Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely
• Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications in medication administration or hospice care are a plus
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or developmental disabilities supporting their independence and well-being
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration

Pay: $18.50 - $21.50 per hour
