We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to individuals with diverse needs. Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
• Monitor residents’ health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings according to care plans
• Administer medications accurately following HIPAA regulations and facility protocols
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents during meal times, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning resident areas and common spaces
• Support residents with memory care needs, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, and behavioral challenges through patient observation and compassionate engagement
• Follow all safety procedures including manual handling, first aid, CPR certification, and emergency response protocols to ensure resident safety at all times

Skills

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of patient care techniques including medication administration, patient monitoring, and assisting with ADLs
• Familiarity with care plans for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, neurodevelopmental disorders, or geriatrics
• Ability to perform patient observation with patience and attention to detail; recognize signs of distress or health issues promptly
• Competence in cleaning routines to uphold hygiene standards in resident areas and shared spaces
• Experience supporting individuals with dementia or memory care needs using specialized techniques such as Alzheimer’s or hospice care approaches
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of resident information at all times
• Hours: M-F, 3pm-11pm and Weekends 7am-11pm
