Position Summary

We are seeking compassionate and dependable Community Coaches / Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities in community-based, non-clinical settings throughout Northern Virginia.

In this role, you will provide one-on-one coaching and engagement, supporting individuals as they build life skills, confidence, independence, and community connections.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one community coaching and engagement support
• Assist individuals with daily living and independent living skills
• Support participation in community activities (libraries, gyms, volunteering, social outings, classes, errands)
• Encourage goal setting, decision-making, and self-advocacy
• Follow individualized, person-centered support plans
• Document services and progress accurately and timely
• Maintain safety, professionalism, and respectful boundaries at all times

Qualifications

-High school diploma or equivalent
-Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred (but not required — paid training provided)
-Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
-Ability to pass background checks and meet Virginia requirements
-CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)

• Strong communication skills, patience, and a genuine desire to help others grow

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
