Direct Support Professional

Guardian's Watch is seeking a dedicated Direct Support Professional to provide compassionate, person-centered support to individuals in Rock Springs, WY.

Position Summary

As a Direct Support Professional, you will support individuals in their daily lives with respect, dignity, and independence. You will help create a safe, engaging environment while promoting routines and activities that align with each person’s goals.

This role is onsite and full-time, offering the opportunity to make a meaningful difference every day through hands-on care, encouragement, and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with daily living activities, including personal care, mobility, and routine-based assistance.
• Support participants in building independence through structured activities and goal-focused engagement.
• Maintain safety in all settings by following established procedures and responding appropriately to changing needs.
• Support positive communication with participants, families, and internal team members to ensure consistent care.
• Document services and observations accurately and promptly according to required practices.

Required Qualifications

• Experience providing support or care to individuals in a direct, hands-on role (paid or volunteer).
• Ability to work onsite full-time and maintain reliable attendance.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate respectfully and professionally.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining confidentiality.
• Willingness to support individuals’ independence with patience, empathy, and consistency.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in a human services, caregiving, or support role.
• Experience working with individuals who may require assistance with daily routines and behavior support.
• Training or familiarity with person-centered planning and support strategies.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to shifting priorities.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $12.00 - $14.00
