Responsibilities

● Provide person-centered support in accordance with each individual’s service plan.

● Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.

● Support individuals in community activities, appointments, shopping, recreation, and skill-building.

● Encourage independence while promoting dignity, respect, and personal choice.

● Administer medications as trained and authorized.

● Complete accurate daily documentation and progress notes.

● Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.

● Travel to multiple client locations throughout Bergen County as needed.

Qualifications

Required

● High School Diploma or GED

● Valid New Jersey Driver’s License

● Reliable vehicle with current insurance

● Ability to travel throughout Bergen County

● Ability to pass required background checks and screenings

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

● Dependable, compassionate, and professional

Desired

● Experience as a Direct Support Professional, Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), or Personal Care Assistant (PCA)

● Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or autism

● CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain one)

Training is available for qualified candidates who are passionate about helping others.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
