Direct Support Professional

Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionalsto provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health challenges. This role involves assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence within a supportive environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the quality of life for those served and possess a strong understanding of patient care, safety protocols, and community-based support services.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide medication administration and monitor vital signs in accordance with care plans
• Support clients during meal preparation and feeding, ensuring nutritional needs are met
• Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to promote safety and independence
• Observe and document patient conditions, behaviors, and progress in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident's needs, including dementia or Alzheimer's care when applicable
• Maintain a clean and safe environment through light cleaning and sanitation tasks
• Support clients during community outings or social activities to foster engagement and socialization
• Respond promptly to emergency situations with appropriate first aid or CPR when necessary
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care

Experience
Candidates should have prior experience working in assisted living, home health, hospice care, nursing homes, or group homes. If you don't have experience we do train! Must have a High School diploma! MUST HAVE A CAR, VAILD LICENCE, and INSURANCE. Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia, or memory care is highly valued. Certifications such as First Aid and CPR are preferred. Familiarity with medication administration, care planning, patient monitoring, HIPAA compliance, and working with specialized populations enhances suitability for this role. Candidates should demonstrate patience, empathy, strong observational skills, and the ability to perform heavy lifting when required. We are currently hiring for all positions. Thank you.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
