Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Monitor patients’ health by taking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition
• Support medication administration following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure privacy and safety
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary
• Operate patient transfer equipment such as Hoyer lifts and manual handling techniques to ensure safe mobility
• Document care activities accurately in compliance with HIPAA standards and maintain detailed patient records
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments, errands, or community outings while ensuring client safety and comfort

Requirements

• Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care is highly preferred
• Knowledge of patient care procedures including first aid, CPR, and medication administration
• Familiarity with care plans, patient monitoring, dementia and Alzheimer’s care, memory care, and hospice care practices
• Ability to perform light to heavy lifting safely and effectively using proper manual handling techniques
• Strong communication skills to engage effectively with clients, families, and team members
• Experience working within home health or home & community care environments is advantageous
• Commitment to respecting residents’ rights and maintaining confidentiality according to HIPAA standards

Pay: $18.00 - $18.10 per hour
