Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Monitor residents’ health by observing vital signs, administering medication, and recording patient data accurately while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
• Support residents with meal preparation, cooking, and ensuring proper nutrition tailored to individual care plans.
• Conduct patient observation and monitor behavioral or health changes.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols.
• Provide transportation assistance for medical appointments or community outings while ensuring resident safety at all times.
• Follow resident rights policies diligently, respecting autonomy and dignity in all interactions.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to implement personalized care plans and document progress accurately.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations with first aid or CPR as needed, ensuring resident safety at all times.

Experience

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of patient care procedures including medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient transfer methods.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, intellectual disabilities, dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism is highly valued.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
• Proven ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively.
• Background in geriatrics or senior care environments is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills for engaging effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
