this family is looking for a committed, compassionate caregiver to join our team through the HCS program.

This is not just a "watch and wait" position. This is an active support role for a teenager with Down syndrome and complex medical and developmental needs. You’ll be working in a respectful, peaceful home environment where your presence can bring calm, safety, good energy and relief—for both our daughter and her parents.

Position Details: Location: In-home (Midwest Houston – ZIP 77063)(Easy access to Beltway 8, I-10, Westpark Tollway, and 59/69 Southwest Freeway)

Schedule: Part-time hours; flexible shifts to be discussed Pay: HCS waiver-based compensation. Start Date: ASAP, pending interview and fit.

What You’ll Be Doing: Assisting with basic life skills and daily routines (e.g., hygiene, dressing, meals)Providing supervision and engagement through simple activities (e.g., walks, play, music) Supporting a non-verbal teenager with a warm and patient presence.

Helping keep the environment safe and organized. Giving the parents much-needed respite by being a reliable second set of eyes and hands. The Right Person Will Be: Honest, dependable, and on time. Calm, respectful, and kind. Able to take direction and work independently

Physically able to assist when needed (this is not a sit-down phone job) Emotionally mature and understanding of both child and family needs Comfortable working with someone who communicates differently (non-verbal, uses limited language, gestures and signs) Requirements: Must have reliable transportation and a working phone. Must pass an HCS background check and have a job references.
