Direct Support Professional

A community services organization in Kingston, New York is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide person-centered support that promotes independence, safety, wellness, and community engagement.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Days, Evenings or Nights
• Schedule: Saturday and Sunday
• Hours: 7am to 3pm or 2pm to 10pm or 9pm to 7am (extended weekend doubles also available)
• Setting: In-person, residential and community-based setting

Responsibilities:

• Support individuals in achieving personal goals and greater independence
• Facilitate community integration and meaningful activities
• Assist with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene and mobility support
• Administer medications and assist with meal preparation
• Implement behavior support plans, maintain documentation, and collaborate with care teams

Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in human services, developmental disabilities, mental health, or a related field
• High School Diploma / GED
• Basic computer proficiency
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical demands of the role
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and personal care needs

Desired Skills:

• Associates and/or Bachelor's Degree
• SCIP-R certification
• AMAP certification
• CPR and First Aid certification
