Job Summary

Gentle Touch Support Services LLC is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to provide personalized care and assistance to individuals with developmental disabilities. In this role, you will support clients in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. The ideal candidate has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and is committed to delivering respectful, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care tasks, including grooming, hygiene, and mobility support.
• Provide home care services tailored to each individual's needs, fostering a safe and comfortable environment.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to emergencies.
• Support clients in daily routines and activities to promote independence and quality of life.
• Observe and document client progress, behaviors, and any changes in health or well-being.
• Collaborate with team members, family members, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain a safe environment by adhering to safety protocols and best practices in caregiving.

Skills

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (1 to 3 years preferred).
• Strong patient personal care assistance skills.
• Knowledge of home care procedures and safety protocols.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, patience, empathy, and a respectful attitude.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs of clients and work schedules.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 40.0 per week
