Direct Support Professional

Duties:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, mental health and/or substance abuse challenges
• Assist with daily living activities such as dressing,

-Cook Clients breakfast

• Monitor medication administration but do not touch any medications
• Document that clients have taken their medications
• Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in your care
• Promote independence and encourage individuals to participate in social and recreational activities
• Advocate for resident rights and ensure their dignity and privacy are respected
• Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents (assist with clean and organization of the home

-Take clients to store if needed before -Ensure all doors are locked prior to leaving

Laundry services

Make a list of hygiene and cleaning products needed monthly

Skills:

Check in and outside house for any alcohol or mood altering substances

Ensure clients rooms and bathrooms are clean at all times

• Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings

• Communication skills (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external to the company

• Ability to handle physical aspects of job, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for periods of time

• Compassion, patience, and empathy towards individuals with disabilities

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
