Direct Support Professional - DAY PROGRAM

We have 1 full-time open position open Monday-Friday 1pm-9pm at our Day Program in Piketon, Ohio (some weekends may be required throughout the year).

1-year of experience preferred

Paid Training!

NEW PAY SCALE: $16.05/hour-$20.61/hour (Based on years of experience in the Developmental Disabilities field)

Job Description - Direct Support Professionals are responsible to provide direct services and supports to the individual with developmental/intellectual disabilities, including, but not limited to: assisting in maintaining a clean, safe living environment, bathing, personal hygiene, meal preparation and completion of various household tasks; and supervising, teaching, and assisting the individual in every aspect of their life, with the goals of fostering increased independence, choice and empowerment. Think of a DSP as everything you do in your life - this career is helping another person do that exact thing!

Must Possess all of the Following - A sincere desire to provide direct service and support to persons with developmental/intellectual disables; ability to make sound judgments when given guidance and priorities; ability to work as a team member to maintain consistency and quality in services; ability to exchange support, constructive criticism, and ideas with other staff members.

Minimum Requirements -

• High School Diploma/GED
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Valid driver's license, personal liability insurance, and a good driving record
• Be able to pass a criminal background check
