What You'll Do

As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help individuals build independence, stay healthy, and enjoy everyday life. Your responsibilities will include:

• Daily Living Support: Assist with personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and household activities.
• Community Activities: Help individuals participate in shopping, dining, recreational activities, appointments, and social events.
• Independence & Life Skills: Encourage individuals to develop skills, make choices, and work toward their personal goals.
• Health & Safety: Monitor well-being, follow established care plans, and report changes in health or behavior.
• Positive Relationships: Build supportive, respectful relationships with individuals, families, and team members.
• Transportation: Safely transport individuals to appointments and community activities when assigned.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate daily notes and follow individual support plans.
• Home Support: Assist with light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and maintaining a safe living environment.

Some individuals may require mobility assistance, behavioral support, or help with medical routines. You'll be expected to follow established protocols and use any required equipment according to your training.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for dependable, compassionate people who genuinely enjoy helping others.

Preferred Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 6 months of experience in caregiving, developmental disabilities, mental health, senior care, or a related field.
• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Personal or volunteer experience caring for individuals with disabilities.

Additional Requirements:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to provide respectful, patient, and compassionate care.
• Dependable attendance and willingness to work assigned shifts.
• Ability to assist with personal care, mobility, and household activities.
• Willingness to travel between assigned locations throughout Metro Atlanta.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving standards when transportation duties are assigned.
• Ability to follow care plans, safety procedures, and documentation requirements.

A CNA license or college degree is not required.

Available Shifts & Work Environment

Positions may involve daytime, evening, weekend, holiday, or awake overnight schedules based on program needs.

You'll primarily work in residential homes, day programs, and community settings throughout Metro Atlanta.

This is an active, hands-on position that may require standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds, and assisting individuals with mobility or transfers. Additional assistance or mechanical lifting equipment may be used when appropriate.
