About the Position

Summit Living Services LLC is building a team of dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support adults with developmental disabilities in their own homes and communities.

DSPs help individuals build daily living skills, increase independence, participate in their communities, and work toward goals identified in their individual service plans. Support is based on each person’s needs, preferences, abilities, and choices.

This is a hands-on position that requires patience, reliability, good judgment, and respect for the dignity and privacy of the people we support.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily routines and independent living skills.
• Assist with meal planning, grocery shopping, cooking, and household tasks.
• Help individuals manage appointments, transportation, and community activities.
• Support budgeting, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Encourage individuals to make their own choices and participate in decisions.
• Provide reminders or assistance with personal care when authorized and required.
• Support individuals in developing social, recreational, and community connections.
• Follow the individual’s service plan and approved support instructions.
• Complete accurate shift notes, timesheets, and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with supervisors and authorized members of the support team.
• Report health, safety, behavioral, or environmental concerns promptly.
• Follow company policies, confidentiality requirements, and mandated-reporting procedures.
• Attend required orientation, training, supervision, and team meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral needs, mental-health needs, or daily living activities is preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and complete written documentation.
• Ability to remain calm, respectful, and professional in challenging situations.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license may be required for certain assignments.
• Must pass required background checks and employment screening.
• CPR and First Aid certification may be required before working independently.
• Must be dependable and able to arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Must be able to maintain professional boundaries and protect confidential information.

Schedule

Schedules may include weekdays, evenings, weekends, holidays, and relief shifts. Available hours will depend on client needs, authorized service hours, and staffing requirements.

Summit Living Services LLC is recruiting qualified candidates in preparation for program launch. Employment offers, start dates, scheduled hours, and client assignments are contingent upon vendorization approval, authorized client referrals and funding, required screening, onboarding, and training.
