Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Entry level Direct Support positions available at our 2 Closter, NJ locations! NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED!

Spectrum for Living, a New Jersey not-for-profit organization, helps adults with developmental disabilities attain their maximum potential by providing quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for a disabled loved one.

Basic Job Functions:

• Ensuring that all residents are clean, well-fed, and provided for at all times (this includes toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, and laundry work as needed)
• Providing transportation via company van to necessary medical appointments or other activities
• Assisting with meal preparation, serving, feeding, and clean up
• Communicating information in a clear and concise manner for client(s)
• Integrating new staff members into unit activities
• Actively participating in recreational activities with client(s)

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid NON-PROBATIONARY NJ or NY Driver's License (Driving is required)
• Ability to lift 50 lbs (with or without reasonable accommodations)

Shifts Available (Full-Time & Part Time):

• 7am -3pm Sunday-Thurs (off Fri-Sat
• 3p -11pm Fri-Tues (off Wed and Thurs
• 3pm -11pm Sat-Wed (off Thurs and Fri)
• 11pm -7am Wed-Sun (off Mon and Tues)

We offer fully paid on -the-job training including CPR, First Aid and all NJ State licensing requirements. Competitive salary as well as benefits such as Health, Dental and Life Insurance, 403B plan, tuition reimbursement and paid time off.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
